Day 1: Arrival in Juba

You will arrive at Juba International Airport, where the Tiang safaris team will warmly welcome you. Enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Juba City.

You will then Spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps relaxing at your hotel or taking a brief introductory stroll around the city in preparation for your journey south.

Later in the evening you will enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel and receive a briefing about your upcoming exploration of Shambe National Park.

Day 2: Wetland Wonders, Birdwatching Paradise and Wildlife Encounters

We shall set off early morning after having breakfast and drive to Shambe National Park, as we arrive at the designated access point for Shambe National Park. You will be greeted by our local guide and transferred to your accommodation, which may be a comfortable tent situated near the park’s boundaries, offering access to the unique wetland environments. Settle in and prepare to explore this fascinating ecosystem.

In the afternoon you will enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty of the park. Afterward, consider another boat trip or a different walking trail to further explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife. The pop-up floodplains, when inundated, attract a unique array of species.

Then we return to your accommodation for dinner and an opportunity to relax, perhaps reviewing the day’s bird sightings and wildlife encounters.

Day 3: Exploring the White Nile Ecosystem and Departure

In the Morning we shall Focus your final exploration on the connection between Shambe National Park and the White Nile River. Learn more about the river’s influence on the park’s ecosystem and the importance of its conservation. You might have the opportunity for further wildlife viewing along the riverbanks, potentially spotting elephants that frequent these areas.

Depending on accessibility and safety, you might visit areas showcasing the transition zones between the wetlands and drier land, observing how different habitats support different communities of plants and animals.

In the afternoon you enjoy a final lunch near the park. Afterward, bid farewell to the unique landscapes and wildlife of Shambe National Park as you are transferred back to your point of departure, carrying memories of its rich birdlife and the vital White Nile ecosystem back to Juba.
