After an early breakfast, we shall head to the festival grounds in Juba, often in areas like Rock City, where the main celebrations take place. The Pojulu Cultural Festival is a community-led event, typically held within Juba, making it accessible while offering an authentic experience.

In the evening, the Festival Extravaganza! Spend the entire day immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the Pojulu Cultural Festival. You will witness:

Traditional Dances will be mesmerized by energetic performances of the Kore, Lowurti, Rumonit, and Bombolio dances, each with its own unique significance and storytelling.

Live Music and Songs will be part of the Experience of the power of Pojulu traditional music, performed with drums and other local instruments, often accompanied by captivating communal singing.

There will be Cultural Showcases as you explore various exhibitions showcasing Pojulu traditional attire, crafts, and perhaps even culinary demonstrations.

You will play a role in Community Engagement as you observe and respectfully interact with community elders, chiefs, and local participants. The festival emphasizes unity and dialogue, offering a unique opportunity to witness inter-community relations.

There will be Speeches and Celebrations from community leaders and dignitaries who often attend, emphasizing the festival and its role in peace-building and cultural preservation.

After breakfast, we will engage in a more intimate experience of Pojulu traditions. This might include, visiting a Pojulu community in a nearby rural area if feasible and respectful, we shall visit a local Pojulu village outside of the main festival grounds to observe daily life, agricultural practices, and perhaps engage in conversations with families.

As we learn and do some discussions on Pojulu Customs, our guide will facilitate discussions on various Pojulu customs, including aspects of marriage, social organization, beliefs, and traditional authority, offering deeper insights into their way of life.

In the afternoon depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute souvenir shopping in Juba local markets or a visit to a relevant landmark like the Juba Peace Monument.
